The Isfahan International Conference Center project involves four parts. First part:1-      The main hall which accommodates 2354 individuals, a multipurpose hall, offices, theatre, hall, service room, electrical substation, parking, and a 35 hectare area.2-      A 12-storey, five-star hotel 3-      A trade center with floor area of 205,000 m24-      Eight VIP villasIsfahan International Conference Center is composed of a main hall, multipurpose hall, and service, administrative and recreational areas. Construction of a five-star hotel with 200 rooms in an area of 20,000 m2, 27,500 m2 VIP villas, administrative areas, restaurant, and landscape are among the other spaces considered for this complex. The project will be completed in 18 months. The costs estimated for this project, regardless of the land price, is 236 billion Tomans. Generally, we will witness construction of 140,000 m2.  Characteristics of the Structure:The structures in the main hall, north-facing and south-facing offices, hall, theatre, ball room, and canopies, are metal frameworks which are placed on strip concrete foundations, wall and pedestal. The metal framework’s parts are manufactured in the factory and transported to the site, then installed by bolted joints. This project is such an Iranian masterpiece and all parameters of a great architectural work have been embedded in it. The plan is in the shape of a hemisphere and inspired by the popular notion of "Isfahan half the world". The complex has been designed by ATKINS Engineering Company, and it conforms to Iranian Islamic Architecture. As for the new technologies utilized in construction of the complex, the envelope is covered with fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC), its formula was created for the first time in Iran with the assistance of the engineers in Isfahan. The fiber-reinforced concrete is composed of cement, sand, water, admixtures and fibers. Also, the interior envelope which is again implemented for the first time in Iran using new technologies, is a 2500 meter lobby covered with a combination of copper and glass.Due to the innovations made in structural design, construction and implementation techniques, utilization of specific materials and equipment, design characteristic and the amount of the steel used in each square meter, the Conference Center project has won the first place in Iran achieving the highest score possible. In 2013, it was selected by the Iranian Steel Association as the best metal structure in Iran.  Increasing the safety level and minimizing energy consumption, smartification results in minimizing the impacts of such factors as human errors and uncontrollable events and disasters, and brings about an increase in the reliability of proper operation of the building facilities and equipment, and improves the general safety of the building.Measures have been taken in seven aspects for the project to be smartified: illumination and air conditioning, audio and video, entry and exit, fire alarming and extinguishing, safety, and finally the issue of smart parking.
